Vitiligo Natural Remdy – Radish Seeds and Vinegar

The prevalence of Vitiligo is increasing rapidly and over the past decade this has been greatly exploited by the cosmetic and medical industry. Vinegar

Vinegar is nothing but a diluted form of acetic acid (the percentage of acetic acid differs based on the type of vinegar), often used in cooking. It is a strong anti-bacterial agent, one should be very careful in selecting the vinegar for applying on the skin as a medicine. The commercially used vinegar for pickling has 20% of acetic acid, in alternative medicine one should use a more diluted vinegar. This can be done by adding distilled water to vinegar.

It is also used an additive in weight loss diets, however the most important medical use of vinegar is in treating skin conditions and skin infections. [A word of caution, prolonged use of vinegar can result in stomach ulcers and ulcers in other parts in the digestive system, whenever you consume vinegar make sure to consume less and also in a very diluted form]

Radish Seeds and Vinegar to Treat Vitiligo

For patients with vitiligo, a mixture of radish seeds and vinegar should be applied externally on the affected areas in the skin. To make the mixture, take around 25 grams of radish seeds and grind them in to fine powder. Make a fine paste by mixing this powder in two teaspoons of dilute vinegar and apply it to the discolored skin. The pigmentation will return gradually, and you will see a good improvement. Do this twice a day.

When practiced on a regular basis, this method should help in the regeneration of melanin, thereby giving the natural color back to your skin. It advised to practice this method for around 5-6 months for visible repigmentation. This paste should not be preserved, you need to prepare this paste every time before you apply and this will mean that the skin will get its color back. For significant results this procedure should be practiced for a minimum of five to six months. The mixture should always be freshly made instead of preparing in bulk and saving for future use, because if you preserve then the mixture might lose the medicinal properties.

This treatment will have no side effects, and to speed up the re-pigmentation one should take bath frequently (better to use a soap-free body wash) and should expose the skin to regular sunlight. Those people who don’t have the time to prepare this every day can also use a radish seed refining peels, it might not be as effective as the regular method, but still a useful aid in revitalizing the skin.
